HELPFUL RESOURCES
NURSE/PATIENT NAVIGATORS
When faced with a new diagnosis of cancer, it can be helpful to establish a relationship with a navigator. The role of the navigator varies between facilities, and can include providing patients and families with education and support related to the new diagnosis and treatment, facilitating appointment scheduling, and connecting patients to available resources to help with financial, emotional, and spiritual needs. Navigation services are typically provided to the patient free of charge, and a navigator may be available through the hospital system, the physician's office, or the insurance company.

Reach out to your treatment facility and ask to be connected with their Navigator.
